Frequently Asked Questions

Scheduling an appointment can be done by selecting the button below.

You will be asked to select a New Patient Visit OR Follow up Visit. 

You will be able to view a calendar of all available dates and times for appointment.

Select the date and time that best suites your schedule.

A patient portal is a healthcare related online application that allows patients to interact and communicate with their healthcare providers. Dr. Broszko completes all his visit documentation in an Electronic Health Record called CHARM.

Every patient is required to register to obtain access to their health records. 

Registration is free. There are no charges associated with forming a patient account. 

In your CHARM patient portal, you will see all of your lab results, visit summaries, invoices, as well as be able to exchange documentation adn select appointment slots to schedule your telemedicine visit. 

In preparation for the appointment, you will receive forms to review and sign any time prior to the initial appointment:

Dr. Broszko will review the information you submit in your questionnaire during your appointment. 

At this time we do not participate in network for insurance. 

We will provide you with an invoice of your visit that can be submitted for reimbursement with your insurance. 

You will find that the cost associated with a visit is similar to what is billed by any alternate provider that accept insurance. 

We accept all major forms of credit cards.

Payment is required before the visit is initiated. 

No. At the current time we do not prescribe DEA Controlled Scheduled Medications. During the COVID pandemic providers were given permission to prescribe Controlled DEA scheduled medications via Telemedicine, however this permission will soon be coming to an end. We continue to monitor the legal requirements to prescribe via telemedicine.  

After an initial visit consultation, Dr. Broszko may request to see you within a 2-6 week period to follow up on progress in the treatment plan.

If you have achieved your treatment goals, and ongoing medication is still required to maintain your progress, Dr. Broszko would need to see you every 3 months to continue medication refills. 

Our philosophy in treatment is to be reasonable. If you are doing great on medication Dr. Broszko has prescribed, we want to continue to prescribe that medication. 

If excessive appointments are missed, Dr. Broszko may unfortunately have to deny a refill request, until an appointment is scheduled to review the patients condition. Please see related policy for Refill Requests. 

Request a refill through your pharmacy, or your patient portal. 

Dr. Broszko makes every effort to ensure patient do not run out of medications. 

He typically provides patients an additional refill and requests an appointment is made prior to the medication running out again.

    you will be prompted to enter your credit card/payment details. 

    We accept all major forms of credit cards. 

    Patient will receive full refund of their payment a visit is cancelled.

All prescriptions will be electronically sent to your pharmacy of choice. There is no need for a physical prescription paper

Dr. Broszko is rarely late to his appointments. If 5 minutes have passed and you do not see Dr. Broszko on the video webcam, please call          the office immediately at 252.320.9775

 If indicated, we can electronically send a request to a local lab, that can perform any required laboratory work required. You can visit the  laboratory for testing at your own convenience. 

We do not charge and fee for missed appointments like other clinics. 

We understand that life is full of surprises, and not everything goes according to plan.

We are on call 24 days a week and 7 days a year for established patients. 

If you require immediate medical attention please call 911. 

We do not charge patients for making use of on-call services. 

We understand that patients would not be calling unless there was a truly urgent need to reach the on-call physician. 

We take privacy very seriously. The video platform that you will log into through your patient portal, is compliant with current HIPAA standards. HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) is a federal law that required the creation of national standard to protect sensitive patient health information. 

Yes. As long as they are able to provide their name for documentation purposes. You may have additional people present at your appointment if you feel it is needed. 

Appointments are available on evenings, weekends, and weekdays. 

Most patient can see Dr. Broszko within 24-48 hours.
